Sherwin A. Gillman, MD
Dr. Gillman graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and obtained his MD Degree from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1965. He completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Illinois R& E Hospital in 1968. From 1970-1972 he did post graduate training in Pediatric Allergy & Immunology at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. Dr. Gillman is board certified in Pediatrics and Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He is Emeritus Chief of CHOC PSF, AMC, Division of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, which is a multi-specialty group affiliated with Children’s Hospital of Orange County. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics & Allergy at the University of California, Irvine, and has an adult & pediatric private practice in Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He is the Co-Director of SCAMP Asthma Camp for the American Lung Association and has been since 1986. He was President of the Medical Staff of CHOC Hospital from 1989 & 1990. In 1996, he was chosen as LA Times “Volunteer of Distinction” for service to children. His professional affiliations include The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, American College of AA&I, California Society of AA&I and Orange County Society of AA&I. Dr. Gillman has had many years experience in research, and has been conducting clinical trials for the past 35 years.
Mark H. Ellis, MD, MPH
Dr. Ellis obtained his BA Degree from Harvard University and his MD, MPH degrees from Tulane School of Medicine and the Tulane School of Public Health. After completing his Pediatric Residency at the University of Arizona Health Services Center, he went on to finish his Allergy-Immunology Fellowship in 1986 at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Ellis is board certified in Pediatrics and in Allergy/Immunology. He is Division Chief of Children’s Hospital of Orange County’s Pediatric Subspecialty Faculty, Division of Allergy & Asthma, and is an Co-Director of Southern California Asthma Camp since 1994. His professional affiliations include The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, American College of AA&I, California Society of AA&I and Orange County Society of AA&I, where he served as President in 1997 & 1998. He also has a full-time private practice in Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Dr. Ellis has had much experience in clinical trials for the past 25 years. He has received several awards for his research, as well as having participated in the development of clinical asthma trials and protocols.
